This year, the spotlight shines brightly on Hong Kong, with its renowned Cantonese institution, The Chairman, claiming the prestigious No. 1 position. For the second time, The Chairman, a celebrated Cantonese fine-dining restaurant in Hong Kong, has been named the No. 1 restaurant on the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 list. This follows its previous top win in 2021, cementing its status as a culinary titan. Chef-owner Danny Yip attributes the restaurant's enduring success to his dedicated and long-serving team. With an average staff age of around 52 years, many team members have been integral to The Chairman since its inception 17 years ago, fostering a unique depth of experience and camaraderie.
