In a shocking incident that highlights the perilous nature of law enforcement duties, a team of Goa Police officers came under a brutal assault in Alirajpur district, Madhya Pradesh. The officers were in the region to apprehend individuals suspected of involvement in a series of burglaries within Goa when they were ambushed by a large group of assailants.

The brazen attack left a Sub-Inspector and a Constable from the Goa Police force seriously injured, underscoring the dangers faced by police personnel in the line of duty. Reports indicate that the officers sustained injuries from stones and sharp-edged weapons during the unexpected confrontation, requiring immediate medical attention.

Sources reveal that the Goa Police team had travelled to the remote areas of Alirajpur, specifically targeting a village within the Bori police station jurisdiction. They had successfully gathered intelligence on the alleged burglars and were in the process of conducting necessary procedural paperwork at the Bori police station before attempting to make arrests. This inter-state operation was part of an ongoing effort to curb organized property crime affecting residents of Goa.

However, as the police contingent was returning from the station, they were suddenly waylaid by an organized group of approximately 15 to 20 masked individuals. These attackers, reportedly on motorcycles, launched a coordinated assault, pelting the police vehicle with stones and wielding various sharp weapons. The element of surprise, combined with the sheer number of attackers, overwhelmed the small police team, preventing them from mounting an effective defence.

Following the swift and violent attack, all the masked assailants managed to flee the scene, vanishing into the rural landscape. Upon receiving news of the shocking assault, Superintendent of Police Raghuwant Singh Bhadoria immediately rushed to Jobat to assess the situation and oversee the emergency response.
