HR Manager Killed By Lover In Agra. He Chops Up Body, Throws Head In Canal

A deeply disturbing incident has unfolded in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, where a 30-year-old man stands accused of the brutal murder of his alleged lover, an HR manager, followed by the dismemberment of her body. The shocking details emerged after police launched an intensive investigation into the disappearance of the woman.

Authorities have identified the victim as Minki Sharma, aged 30, who was employed as an HR manager at a private firm in Agra. The accused, Vinay, worked as an accountant in the same company and was reportedly in a relationship with Sharma. The initial investigation indicates that the motive behind this heinous crime stemmed from a dispute over a marriage proposal.

According to police statements, Vinay had expressed a desire to marry Minki, but she had reportedly refused his proposal. This rejection escalated into a heated argument between the two. Tragically, the dispute took a fatal turn when Vinay allegedly attacked Sharma with a knife, described as one typically used for cutting coconuts. The assault resulted in a fatal injury to her neck.

Following the murder, the accused is alleged to have proceeded with the gruesome act of dismembering Sharma's body. Police reports detail that he meticulously packed the body parts into a plastic bag, which he then sealed with parcel tape. In a further chilling act, the victim's head was placed into a separate sack. The crime is believed to have occurred late on the night of January 24.

In an attempt to conceal his actions, Vinay allegedly tried to dispose of the remains. He reportedly placed the body in a sack and was en route to throw it into the Yamuna River. However, for reasons still under investigation, he abandoned the sack on a bridge before fleeing the scene. The dismembered head, kept in a black packet, was subsequently thrown into a canal. Police divers have since been pressed into service, conducting extensive search operations to locate the missing head, which remains a crucial piece of evidence in the ongoing investigation.

The breakthrough in the case came swiftly. Utilizing various CCTV footage from the vicinity and crucial evidence recovered from the company's office, law enforcement officials were able to identify and apprehend Vinay on January 25. The body of the deceased woman was immediately sent for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause and nature of her death.

The accused has been charged under serious sections of the BNS, specifically Section 103 (1) for murder and Section 238 for causing disappearance of evidence of an offence or providing false information to screen an offender. Investigators have also successfully recovered several key pieces of evidence connected to the crime, including the knife allegedly used in the murder, the scooter believed to have been used by Vinay, and certain articles of clothing. The police continue their relentless efforts to gather all remaining evidence and bring the full truth of this tragic incident to light, ensuring justice for Minki Sharma.
